Here at DYAO, we are working hard to address the short term needs and impact that COVID-19 is having on our educational programs and the community. In order to comply with CDC and local government regulations, we need to extend our programming suspension through the end of our regular season. This means both of our spring concerts will, unfortunately, be canceled. Our orchestra rehearsals and our upcoming gala will continue online with an adjusted format.

The Denver Young Artists Orchestra just received notification that the Colorado Symphony Association is postponing the remaining 2019/20 Season concerts and events through May 11, 2020, including DYAO’s April YAO concert, in an effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. All ticket holders will be notified directly of the postponement via email and offered a variety of options concerning their tickets. We are not yet sure if it will be possible to reschedule this performance but will keep you informed as we know more. We will also be announcing online content and programming shortly.

Three Young Artists Orchestra student accepted into the National Youth Orchestra of the USA!

Congratulations to Lily Primus! Lily is the winner of the 2020 Young Artists Orchestra Concerto Competition.

In their upcoming collaboration with the Colorado Symphony on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Boettcher Concert Hall, the musicians of both orchestras will join forces side-by-side. This annual partnership, is not just pros and young musicians sitting side-by-side, it is the transference of knowledge from one generation to the next. Imagine being a basketball player and getting to play in the same game with Michael Jordan, this is the experience for the musicians of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra when they perform with the musicians of the Colorado Symphony.

The Taste of Tango program is delightful from start to finish and our artists can't wait to share this performance with you. A collaboration with Parsol Arts and Tango Colorado will feature brilliant dancers Lorita Travoglia and Mauro Romo. Here is the inside scoop on the selections...
