2021 Senior Spotlight - Caytlin Silvester

For this Conservatory Orchestra violinist, the sky is the limit! Today we celebrate Caytlin Silvester.

Caytlin is a graduating Senior from Arapahoe County. A member of DYAO for 5 seasons, she participated in both String Ensemble and Conservatory Orchestra. She is a student of Lydia Sviatlovskaya. Upon graduation, she plans to attend Texas A&M University and major in Physics on a premed track, for which she received a full-tuition Air Force ROTC scholarship.

When asked what DYAO has meant to her, she replied: "DYAO has pushed me to grow as a person and as a musician; I never thought I would be able to reach the level of musicianship that I have today, but because of the constant push to learn that challenging run or to understand a complicated rhythm, I grew. DYAO, and the friends that I met throughout the years, inspired me to become a better musician, and ultimately learn how hard work pays off."
