Javier Abreu - Office Manager

Javier Abreu joined the Denver Young Artist Orchestra in 2019.  Originally from Puerto Rico, Javier enjoyed a successful performing career as an opera singer which spanned over twenty years and included performances with New York City Opera, Atlanta Opera, Central City Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Staatsoper Stuttgart, Theater Basel and Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona, to name a few.  He was also a featured soloist with the Pittsburgh Symphony, the National Symphony, the Phoenix Symphony, the Britt Festival and the Lexington Philharmonic.  

He received his Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from the University of Miami, a Master in Voice Performance degree from the University of Houston, and an Artist Diploma in Opera Performance from The Juilliard School in New York City, where he was a member of the prestigious Juilliard Opera Center.  He will complete a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership degree with a concentration in Human Resources from the University of Colorado in the Summer of 2020.
