COVID-19 YAO Concert Update

Good afternoon,

The Denver Young Artists Orchestra just received notification that the Colorado Symphony Association is postponing the remaining 2019/20 Season concerts and events through May 11, 2020, including DYAO’s April YAO concert, in an effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. All ticket holders will be notified directly of the postponement via email and offered a variety of options concerning their tickets. We are not yet sure if it will be possible to reschedule this performance but will keep you informed as we know more. We will also be announcing online content and programming shortly.

These postponements align with the City and County of Denver in compliance with the revised CDC guidelines posted on March 16, 2020 recommending gatherings of 50 people or more be postponed or canceled for the next eight weeks through May 11, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 virus.

All events at City-owned venues, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre (and Visitor Center), Denver Performing Arts Complex including Boettcher Concert Hall, and the McNichols Civic Center Building, have been suspended through May 11, 2020.

These postponements are consistent with the mandate from Colorado Governor Jared Polis suspending all events and public gatherings of 50 people or more.

The following events have been postponed with rescheduled dates and more information to be announced at a later date. We are evaluating cancellations on a case by case basis at this time and all events from March 13, 2020 to May 11, 2020 are in progress for rescheduling.
