Title: In Search of Harmony

"In Search of Harmony" is a phrase that evokes many thoughts in any creative mind, since it is indeed human nature for one to search for harmony in music, in art, in love and in life.

A native of Miles City, Montana, Pam Spika-Nicholson received a BFA degree cum laude from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado in 1987. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona and painted for 11 years with Phoenix Art Group before returning to Colorado in 1998. In 2007, she was invited to participate in the Pyoung Taek International Art Festival in Pyoung Taek, Korea. She has been creating and selling original artwork that has become part of many public and private collections in the U.S. and abroad, including England, France, Germany and Hong Kong. Her artistic technique involves a mixture of mediums. First, she draws her designs on paper or canvas then textures the surface to add depth and dimension. Once dry, she uses acrylic paints and adds fine details with colored pencils, crayons and metal leafing. She works from her studio in Parker, Colorado and signs her paintings with her maiden name, Spika.
