The idea behind the piece is that music paints a picture in our minds, thus the painting is a song; a song about clouds over the city in the morning.
Jude Morales graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1998 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Mr. Morales has been showing his work around Denver regularly since 2000 and is a member of the Art Students League of Denver and NEXT Gallery. His work is a translation of his many day to day experiences; walking through the city, on the beach, sitting in a park or wherever he has grasped a moment. He combines oil pastel line work with acrylic paint. The end results of his paintings are always surprising to him as the process of transferring imagination to a physically tangible object is an adventure that often takes spontaneous directions along the way. Mr. Morales is inspired by many forms of art including, Japanese and Chinese woodblock prints as well as American folk art.
