Title: Gaudi's Cello

Our work is influenced by the mosaic heritage of the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Cultures. Like any artist we bring unique images and creativity to our artwork incorporating the colors and textures of nature to create each work. We greatly appreciate the materials that we use to create our art. We believe that nature and the materials that come from nature are art in themselves and that our art exist in nature before we conceive our work.

Abbas and Roya Khajeaian, father and daughter, are self-taught mosaic artists. Abbas was born in Busher, Iran and Roya in Sacramento, California and have been creating mosaic art together for the last 10 years. Their work has been exhibited in many different exhibitions, most recently at Sculpture in the Park in Loveland, Colorado. Abbas and Roya have designed and created mosaic murals for wall hangings and permanent furniture installations including backsplashes, accessory ornaments, fireplace surroundings, and bathroom vanities. Additionally, they design and decorate patios, balconies, and yards turning them into exquisite courtyards. Their courtyard concepts, "High Altitude Courtyards" create enchanting and colorful environments to live in all year around, enhancing all seasons with color and beauty.
