The ability to express thoughts and feelings through the painted violin make it possible to explore almost any subject. I chose to use the violin as a canvas for an underwater scene to convey the rhythmic cycles of the ocean that music and especially stringed instruments so often articulate. The vibrant colors and active scene is meant to attract the eye of both adults and children.
