The Eighth Annual Painted Violin fundraiser features seventeen hand-painted original works of art that are raffled, auctioned and sold to benefit the Denver Young Artists Orchestra. The opening "unveiling" celebration, held on Friday, September 23, 2011 was sponsored by Gallery 1261 and Bitter Sweets Bakery and featured an evening of art, music, food and libations. The violins will then tour throughout the Denver region in a travelling exhibit to The Madden Museum of Art, The Curtis Center for Art & Humanities, Denver International Airport, Masters Gallery, Clayton Lane Fine Arts, Gallery 1261, and Translations Gallery. The tour ends with the 8th Annual Painted Violin Gala on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Palazzo Verdi in Greenwood Village.
